Directive on Vivisection: the European Shame

To protest, please sign HERE

Please note that not everyone will be able to sign this …

At the beginning of September the European Parliament is due to vote and pass the new DIRECTIVE on the “protection” of animals used for “scientific purposes”

It is an industry-oriented law, made to specifically meet the necessities of the vivisection business. It doesn’t make alternative methods compulsory even when they exist. (Note: because they DO exist, and are truly more effective!)

It permits:

– To experiment on Primates even when NOT NECESSARY to find treatments for humans (art 5,8,55)
– To experiment on STRAY DOGS AND CATS (art 11)
– To sistematically RE-USE animals already tortured even if they suffered prolonged pain and distress (art 16)
– To carry out experiments WITHOUT anesthesia whenever the “researchers” deem it necessary (art 14)
– To experiment on live animals for “educational” purposes. (art 5)

And the list goes dramatically on…

As you can see there is noting scientific nor protective in this law.

    Vivisection is not science,
It does not help find cures.
It does not protect or advance humans in any way.
It just shows how behind the times you are.
Why waste the peoples money ($ millions and millions $) on something that doesn’ even do any good whatsoever.
All it does is take advantage of unfortunate animals that you feel the need to dominate and harm.

    STOP THIS PRACTICE ALTOGETHER NOW!

This is so barbaric and totally unnecessary! We aren’t in the dark ages any longer, but yet continue these sick, heartless practices. For science to help humans? Bullshit! All it’s helping is to line the pockets of the greedy bastards that do this! I wish the bastards could feel what the poor animals go through, just once!!! It is proven this is NOT necessary and more!!! STOP!!! PLEASE STOP!!!!

I believe that Animal Testing is extremely cruel and totally unnecessary! Their are many other ways to conduct tests. Like using human volunteers who have a voice to say yes or no. Our beloved animals are not on this earth for us to use, abuse, exploit, eat, wear or USE FOR TESTING!!!!! Please put a stop to this horrific practice. our animals are so deserving to live their life free and peaceful! We do not have the right to take them and do whatever we wish to them. This is WRONG, WRONG,WRONG!!!! Please make this a more humane world for all beings. That is what the circle of life is all about. Live and Let Live! I implore you to pass laws against animal testing and maybe, the rest of the world will follow your kind and intelligent decision to treat others the way you would like to be treated yourself!

Animal abuse, animal cruelty that hides behind legal witness.
It does not bring cures, it brings only shame. God is beyond those that perform these senseless acts of legalized brutality, who think that animals do not feel pain.
Lord have mercy on their poor, little, innocent souls.
    Vivisection must be outlawed.

Poor, poor baby! Can’t you see that the poor creature is in intense pain? There ARE other ways to deal with medical matters. There is no need to torture animals. Animal experimentation has been derided by a lot of eminent scientists, because it doesn’t apply to humans. No matter how close we may be to another species, what little difference there is between them can be as wide as the Grand Canyon when it comes to what can heal and what can harm. The only people who benefit from animal experimentation are those who deal in animals to sell for vivisection. And I hope that every one of those people comes back as an animal who was raised and sold to be tortured.

primate experiments are Scientifically USELESS and HAVE NO VALIDITY: because what is dangerous for a Primate (MAN) could be NOT for another Primate e.g. a CHIMPANZEE!!!!!!
In the ’50 for example, how many HUMAN CHILDREN were born with arms / all sorts of deformities, due to the use by their mothers of the Talidomide during pregnancy!!!!!!!
That chemical substance HAD BEEN TESTED on OTHER PRIMATES with NO negative results!!!!!!! What can be poisonous for a Gorilla could be NOT for a Chimpanzee and viceversa!!! Still persisting with this senseless and dangerous (also for MAN) procedure!!!!!
Probably because too many ECONOMICAL INTERESTS are involved: Companies PRODUCING cages, equipments, etc. Companies financed for Primate/Animal Experiments that can wash their conscience STATING that their Products “ARE TESTED” but what happens to HUMAN PRIMATES is not THEIR problem….

It does not work either….I can’t beleive that these scientists are able to sleep at night. shameful. STOP THIS CRUELTY!

    Horrific & heartbreaking…..

Several years ago a monkey escaped from its cage in a Japanese laboratory, the first thing it did was to open the cage of the other monkeys ….

Animal experimention is not only cruel torture but is useless! Many doctors and research scientists have found alternatives to using animals. Its time the rest of you do. Or maybe you are not SMART enough???

Here is my personal protest – when I see my doctor I let her know that I will not fill any prescription she gives me. I won’t take most of the supplements she suggests because they contain animal products. I ask her only for a diagnosis and I find alternative medicine. She actually admires my tenacity. 🙂
